Amanah Center in Pashchim Hajipara offers Sunnah hijama, dry cupping and sports cupping with certified male and female practitioners, single-use sterile equipment and a health check before every session.
About hijama
Hijama, known in Bangla as হিজামা or শিঙ্গা লাগানো, is a traditional therapy in which cups create gentle suction on the skin.
In wet cupping, the practitioner first applies suction, then makes a few tiny, superficial marks on the skin and re-applies the cup to draw out a small amount of blood. Dry cupping uses suction alone.
Hijama holds a special place in Islamic tradition. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ received hijama and spoke of it as among the best of remedies (Sahih al-Bukhari). Today, people across Sunamganj and the wider Sylhet region choose it both to follow the Sunnah and for relief from everyday aches and tension.
At Amanah Center, we combine this tradition with modern clinical hygiene, so you can focus on your wellbeing with complete trust: amanah.

Why hijama
Hijama was practised and recommended by the Prophet ﷺ. Many clients come to follow this Sunnah with proper care.
Cupping may help ease tightness in the back, neck and shoulders from long work hours or physical labour.
Suction draws blood flow to the treated area, which many people find helps them feel lighter and recover faster.
A quiet, private room and an unhurried session give many clients a deep sense of rest afterwards.
Hijama is a complementary therapy. It does not replace diagnosis or treatment from a qualified doctor.
Hygiene & safety
Safety is the reason Amanah Center exists. Every client gets a new, sealed kit, and every session begins with a health check.
Opened in front of you
Your sealed kit is unwrapped at your session and safely disposed of afterwards. Nothing is ever reused.
Please tell us before booking if any of these apply. We may advise you to speak to your doctor first.
Not sure if hijama is right for you? Ask us before you book.
How it works
Message us on WhatsApp or call. Before treatment we ask a few health questions and check your blood pressure.
Your practitioner explains each step, applies sterile cups to the agreed points, and stays with you throughout.
You rest, have water, and leave with simple aftercare advice: light food, no heavy exercise, keep the area clean.
Sunnah days
Hijama is recommended on the 17th, 19th and 21st of the lunar (Hijri) month. These days fill up fast in Sunamganj, so reserve your slot early.
Dates follow the Bangladesh moon sighting estimate and may shift by a day. We confirm when you book.

Hijama is recommended on the 17th, 19th and 21st of the Islamic (lunar) month. These days book up quickly, so we suggest reserving early. We also offer hijama on other days.
Eat a light meal two to three hours before, drink water, and wear loose clothing. Avoid heavy food and strenuous exercise on the day. Tell us about any medicines you take, especially blood thinners.
The round marks usually fade within three to ten days. They are not bruises in the usual sense and are generally painless.
Hijama is generally safe when done hygienically by a trained practitioner. We use single-use sterile cups and blades for every client. It is not suitable for everyone, for example people with bleeding disorders, severe anaemia, on blood thinners, or during pregnancy, so we do a short health check before every session. Hijama complements, but does not replace, care from your doctor.
Call us or send a message on WhatsApp with your preferred day and time. We will confirm your slot and send preparation instructions.
